We are seeking a committed and proactive School Support Officer - Skill Development and Transition to join our team. This role is key in supporting students as they transition from school to post-school opportunities, by developing skills and vocational pathways in partnership with staff and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students’ transition to post-school providers through skill training and vocational development.
Build staff capacity by modelling tasks, providing supervision, guidance, and training.
Develop resources to assist with skill training and work experience programs.
Use assistive technology effectively to enhance learning for both students and staff.
Collect, analyse, and report on relevant data and evidence.
Engage with local employers and community organisations to establish work experience opportunities.
Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
Participate in training and professional development as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certificate III or IV in Education Support and experience in schools;
Valid Working with Children Check;
Compliance with CSPD’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct.
