Office for Space Technology & Industry
The Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn) is Singapore’s national space office. It is responsible for nurturing the development of space technologies to serve national imperatives, growing a globally competitive space industry in Singapore and fostering an enabling regulatory environment for Singapore’s space activities. To support these objectives, OSTIn also seeks to build international partnerships and contribute to the development of multilateral norms on space. In addition, OSTIn also supports the development of Singapore’s future workforce through space-based STEM outreach.
Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Vice President (Technology) with managing the work of the Technology team
Building sound understanding of outer space technology, industry and policy trends, and identifying opportunities to advance Singapore’s space interests.
Planning and managing R&D masterplanning efforts, based on a strong understanding of global trends and developments and of our local space ecosystem
Planning and managing large scale and complex space technology projects, including developing and managing project workplans, budgets and tracking of KPIs
Overseeing the end-to-end administration of research grants which includes the management of grant call processes, ensuring compliance to relevant guidelines and managing grant disbursements.
Cultivating strategic relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders in the research and industry ecosystem, and fostering collaborations
Requirements
A strong interest and passion in outer space
Background in Science or Engineering and/or relevant interdisciplinary fields.
At least 10 years of relevant work experience such as in technology strategy, innovation & management, and at least 2 years of experience in managing a team
Ability to analyse in-depth complex issues and put forth actionable solutions, and meticulously plan and drive workplan implementation at the inter-agency and ecosystem level
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken, and experience working with diverse stakeholders
A self-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a team player
