About the Division
The Singapore Global Network (SGN) is a division in the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) tasked to re-energise our efforts towards building a strong and extensive ecosystem of overseas Family, Friends, and Fans for Singapore. SGN leads the Whole-Of-Government effort to coordinate across agencies and strengthen our collective networks whose skills, affinity and influence could help build linkages to global business and talent communities, and enhance the international mindshare of Singapore as a leading globally-connected city.
Role Summary:
This role sits within SGN’s digital products team, which seeks to develop, deliver and maintain a digital platform for connections between and within Singapore’s global communities. We are looking for a Technical Product Manager with a strong interest in technology and how it can be harnessed to deliver new value propositions to members and partners in SGN’s network, and drive transformation. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a small and nimble team with the ambition of pioneering a digital platform and infrastructure to serve a large-scale network all around the world.
Responsibilities
Uncover, understand customer needs and translate them into requirements.
Research and stay up-to-date with technical trends. Able to assess emerging products to measure their potential value or threat to the organization, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.
Evaluate business needs against IT strategy and architecture roadmaps to optimise existing technology/architecture or recommend new products/features.
Effectively work cross-functionally with internal teams, including developers, solution architects, and operations to ensure the development and delivery of digital products/features.
Develop, monitor and analyse product metrics, including success criteria for testing and product acceptance and be able to use database queries to analyse performance indicators, evaluate experiments, etc.
Assess and address technical risks.
Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.
Coordinate product releases with marketing, operations, and development teams.
Drive user adoption through the monitoring of user adoption metrics and delivering internal and customer training on product usage.
Undertake some project management activities including procurement and vendor management.
Requirements
A university degree in Business Information Systems (IS), Computer Science or related field, with at least 2 years’ of working experience in digital product management.
Ability to think strategically, operate in a fast-pace and constantly evolving environment.
Good analytical and lateral thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex insights and data into ideas and plans.
Able to work cross-functionally and manage different stakeholders to achieve key results.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of software development methodology like AGILE.
Team player with ability to work independently.
