Overall Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall marketing activities in Greater China, including branding, digital, social, content, events, media and partnerships
  • Manage budgets and headcount of the China Marketing team, including hiring relevant team members and nurturing them to help them deliver their best
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and funnel development strategies that that are closely aligned with HQ and Greater China sales team's priorities
  • Build constructive relationships and strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders such as Enterprise Singapore and EDB's regional sales team
  • Appoint and manage vendors and agencies (paid, digital and marketing) both in China and Singapore to ensure that desired outcomes are delivered effectively
  • It's all-hands-on-deck. You'll need to be both strategic and executional - from leading the development of long-term strategies for the team while also directly executing online and offline campaigns and projects alongside with your team.
  • Some level of admin work required - procurement, finance, IT security reviews, office facilities management etc


Detailed responsibilities: 


#1 WeChat, Website and Content

  • Work with your Content Manager to create a relevant content strategy across WeChat, Website and other relevant social channels in China
  • Empower and enable the regional sales team with relevant content and collaterals to promote the use of WeChat Official Account as part of client engagement
  • Edit and vet content/video pieces, as well as speeches delivered by regional sales team or other EDB representatives for in-market events
  • Identify and execute relevant content partnerships to drive amplification of key messages and awareness of Singapore as an investment designation in priority sectors
  • Work with the digital vendor to set up, refine and optimise WeChat social CRM tool to drive content performance on WeChat Official Account
  • May be required to represent EDB to interview company executives for content development, or be interviewed by paid media partners


#2 Events and Partnership Development

  • Work with your Events and Partnership Manager to identify key partners to collaborate with, and develop annual event calendar
  • Cultivate and build up a network of ecosystem partners that may include consultancies, advisories, media, associations, key accounts, SG companies etc.
  • Forge mutually beneficial partnerships that are in line with overall marketing objectives which could be in the form of content, event, referrals and resource sharing
  • Support your team in the execution of online and offline events
  • May be required to represent EDB in hosting events or speaking at public forums


#3 Media Partnership

  • Work with the appointed media agency to develop relevant media buy strategies for campaigns and events
  • Work directly with selected trade media or associations to develop strategic and holistic partnerships cutting across content, events and lead acquisition
  • Cultivate relevant and selected media in China to influence them to collaborate with EDB in a strategic manner


#4 Lead Funnel Development

  • Design and execute lead generation and nurturing campaigns segmented by industries and buyer personas that will meet measurable targets
  • Work with the digital vendor to set up and refine marketing automation tactics (e.g. A/B testing, user journeys, segmented content strategy)
  • Track lead management process from generation, nurturing to handover to sales team, including regular check-ins with regional sales team to ensure lead funnel is compatible with sales strategy and priorities


To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be: 

  • A university degree in marketing, business or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 8 years relevant working experience. Candidates should have proven track record working in similar capacity within the Greater China marketing landscape
  • Results-oriented, with high level of initiative, drive and resourcefulness
  • Fast and independent learner who can learn on-the-job and deliver quality work with limited supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate well with different stakeholders
  • Able to manage multiple projects while keeping to deadlines
  • Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin to effectively nuance our in-market messages


It would be preferred if candidate has the following:

  • Strong familiarity and prior knowledge of Singapore 
  • Work experience in B2B/ G2B marketing
