Who we’re looking for:

BMD’s Urban division in South Australia are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing regional team. The ideal candidate will be based in or around Whyalla and be open to working on a DIDO basis in the Eyre Peninsula, far-north and/or mid-north of South Australia.

You will join our high calibre team, working with senior members of the project team to achieve optimum production and cost outcomes. Drawing on your learnings from a successful engineering career, you will:

  • demonstrate leadership qualities which allow for mentoring of Site Engineers and Graduates to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • provide onsite engineering services and technical support to fearlessly strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:

  • a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • high level verbal and written communication skills
  • minimum four years’ experience on infrastructure projects
  • excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do
  • motivation to achieve value-for-money results
  • previous experience with major tier one or two contractors undertaking similar work.
