About the role We are seeking a proactive and versatile Communications Co-Ordinator to join our Change Management Team as part of the Digital ERP transformation, working closely with the BMD’s National Marketing and Communications team, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the country while delivering high-impact communications that support our projects, people and strategic priorities. Acting as a business partner to key internal stakeholders, you’ll work closely with both site-based teams and corporate leaders to develop and deliver content, campaigns and engagement initiatives to bring to life the work BMD is doing to power futures and create legacies.
This role requires someone confident working within a large, fast-paced organisation and comfortable communicating across diverse stakeholder groups, including a remote and site-based workforce. We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in communications within infrastructure, construction or engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Change Communication Coordination
Implement the Change Communication Plan aligned with the overall Project Strategy.
Coordinate the creation and distribution of communication materials (emails, intranet posts, videos, newsletters, FAQs).
Ensure messaging is tailored to different audiences (executives, frontline staff, regional teams).
Maintain a communication calendar and track delivery milestones.
Stakeholder Engagement
Support stakeholder mapping and engagement planning.
Assist in organising and facilitating town halls, roadshows, and feedback forums.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather insights and feedback for communication refinement.
Content Development & Delivery
Draft clear, engaging, and accessible content that explains the project, its impact, and benefits.
Collaborate with the Corporate Communications and Marketing Team to align messaging with corporate branding and tone.
Translate technical ERP concepts into user-friendly language.
Readiness & Feedback Monitoring
Support change readiness assessments and pulse surveys.
Track communication effectiveness and employee sentiment.
Collate feedback and report insights to the Change Lead for continuous improvement.
Training & Support Coordination
Coordinate with Change Lead, HR and Training teams to align communication with training rollout.
Assist in developing onboarding materials and digital adoption resources (e.g. explainer videos, quick reference guides).
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of communication activities and stakeholder interactions.
Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership on communication reach and engagement.
Preferred Experience:
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Communications, Change Management, HR, or related field
2–4 years’ experience in a change or communications role within large-scale transformation projects
