About the Project

The Verdun Interchange Upgrade is a major infrastructure initiative improving access to and from the South Eastern Freeway. Delivered by BMD in joint venture with Leed, this project will enhance safety, connectivity, and traffic flow in the Adelaide Hills region.

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Advisor to lead engagement and communication efforts across the Verdun Interchange Upgrade project. You’ll be the key link between the project team, local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders - ensuring transparent, timely, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic communication and engagement plans tailored to project milestones.
  • Prepare and distribute project updates, notifications, and fact sheets across multiple channels.
  • Liaise with internal teams to understand construction impacts and coordinate stakeholder messaging.
  • Respond to community and stakeholder enquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Monitor engagement effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with reporting and audit requirements.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and communications, ideally within infrastructure or construction.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Passion for community-focused outcomes and inclusive engagement.
