About the Role

We’re seeking experienced Proposals/Submissions professionals to join our high-performing pre-contracts team based in Melbourne on a full-time, permanent basis.

In this senior role, you will lead the development and delivery of polished, fully compliant EOIs and tenders for major infrastructure projects. Partnering closely with Bid Leads, estimators, engineers, designers and senior leaders, you will play a critical role in shaping winning submissions that reflect BMD’s brand, capability and values.

This role suits a confident, detail-driven proposals professional who thrives in deadline-driven environments and enjoys collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end‑to‑end development of compliant EOIs and tenders, including content, design and final submission
• Partner with Bid Leads to plan, manage and deliver proposal schedules, reviews and deadlines in line with best‑practice bid governance
• Write, edit and coordinate compelling non‑price submission content in collaboration with technical experts and senior stakeholders
• Act as the central coordination point for proposal inputs across internal teams, JV partners and designers
• Ensure robust document control, version management and submission processes using approved platforms
• Maintain and develop proposal libraries and act as a knowledge lead within the regional and national proposals team

About You

You will bring proven experience in a senior proposals, bids or submissions role, ideally within infrastructure, construction or a related technical environment.

You will have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar proposals, bids or tender coordination role
• A degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or similar (preferred)
• Exceptional written communication and editing skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Advanced skills in MS Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro (Creative Cloud advantageous)
• A collaborative, proactive approach and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders
• Infrastructure or civil engineering sector experience (highly desirable)
