About the Role

As a Senior Contracts Administrator, you will play a critical role in the commercial success of large-scale civil infrastructure projects. Working within high-performing delivery teams, you will take ownership of the full contract lifecycle, ensuring strong commercial outcomes while protecting BMD’s contractual position. This role is suited to a commercially astute professional with experience on Tier 1 or Tier 2 infrastructure projects, comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced environments.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing the head contract and subcontract lifecycle from procurement through to close-out
Leading subcontractor procurement, negotiations and award strategies
Ensuring accurate cost forecasting, reporting and commercial risk management
Driving the administration of claims, variations, EOTs and dispute resolution
Maintaining strict compliance with contractual, legal and statutory obligations
Providing commercial advice to Project Managers and leadership teams
Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners

Your experience and capability will include:

Proven experience in a Senior Contracts Administrator role within Tier 1 or major Tier 2 contractors
Demonstrated success delivering large-scale infrastructure projects (road, rail, water, energy or similar)
Strong knowledge of Australian Standard contracts (AS2124, AS4000, GC21 or similar) and commercial frameworks
Advanced capability across procurement, cost control, forecasting, and contract risk
Expertise managing claims, variations, and negotiations in complex environments
Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
Tertiary qualifications in engineering, quantity surveying, law, commerce or a related discipline
