About the Role

As a Senior Contracts Administrator, you will play a critical role in the commercial success of large-scale civil infrastructure projects. Working within high-performing delivery teams, you will take ownership of the full contract lifecycle, ensuring strong commercial outcomes while protecting BMD’s contractual position. This role is suited to a commercially astute professional with experience on Tier 1 or Tier 2 infrastructure projects, comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced environments.
 
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the head contract and subcontract lifecycle from procurement through to close-out
  • Leading subcontractor procurement, negotiations and award strategies
  • Ensuring accurate cost forecasting, reporting and commercial risk management
  • Driving the administration of claims, variations, EOTs and dispute resolution
  • Maintaining strict compliance with contractual, legal and statutory obligations
  • Providing commercial advice to Project Managers and leadership teams
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
Your experience and capability will include:
  • Proven experience in a Senior Contracts Administrator role within Tier 1 or major Tier 2 contractors
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale infrastructure projects (road, rail, water, energy or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standard contracts (AS2124, AS4000, GC21 or similar) and commercial frameworks
  • Advanced capability across procurement, cost control, forecasting, and contract risk
  • Expertise managing claims, variations, and negotiations in complex environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, quantity surveying, law, commerce or a related discipline
