Automation Engineer

Mercedes AMG HPP are seeking an exceptional Automation Engineer to join our world championship winning team at Brixworth. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the development of mechanical designs for a wide range of industrial automation and robotic tasks, whilst carrying out detailed mechanical design work including; 3D modelling, calculations, simulation and design verification testing. You will also support the transition of design into manufacture and assembly and keep up to date with the latest manufacturing technologies and automation technologies.

Be skilled at…

  • Industrial Machine Design
  • Expert experience in CAD Preferable Catia or NX
  • Mechatronic component selection
  • Working within a cross functional team on multiple projects
  • Prioritise tasks with good personal time management
  • Delivering work packages to time and budget constraints

Have experience of…

  • A proven track record in designing complex electromechanical automation systems, machines or products that have gone into production
  • Substantial experience in draughting to BS8888 with the use of GD&T

Demonstrate knowledge of…

  • Automation and Industrial control systems
  • Robotics
  • Generating supporting documentation for technical file and Certification (eg. CE)
  • Digital Validation techniques

Hold these qualifications…

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Mechanical Engineering qualification with experience
