Payroll Officer - Maternity Cover (FTC)

Purpose of the role is to… The Payroll Officer is responsible for producing and processing the payrolls at HPP on a monthly basis, ensuring they are done to a high standard (on time, in full with no errors). Including all the activities relating to and surrounding the monthly processing, and annual activities. In addition to the payroll, this role is responsible for managing the HRIS systems in place, keeping them up to date and accurate at all times; including the reporting to other departments / Daimler.

  • Proven work experience as a Payroll Officer or similar Managing a payroll for approx. 500 - 1,000 staff
  • Hands on experience with HRIS and Payroll software (ideally Select Pay)
  • Using their initiative to take ownership for their area of responsibility

  • Statutory Payments & Reporting Requirements
  • Labour Legislation

  • Process the Employee Monthly Payroll to a high level – expecting an accuracy rate of 98% +
    • Manage all variable data
    • Starters / Leavers
    • Ad hoc requests
  • Manage the payroll provider to ensure accuracy levels are maintained, and to a high level
  • Post payroll reporting
  • Tax Year End Processing
    • P60’s
    • P11d’s
    • Employer NIC contributions
    • Early Year Updates
    • Managing HMRC account
    • LPS Year End reconciliation
  • Manage all changes to employee data in Select HR & TeamSeer, ensuring data is accurate
  • Contract creation for internal changes
  • Point of contract for employee queries on Pay
  • Assisting with the day to day support with the benefits administration i.e. new starters and leavers   
  • Manage the EWD (Employee Worldwide database) reporting to Daimler
  • Daimler New Starter Reporting  
  • ePars reporting
  • Ad Hoc reporting from the HRIS to support compensation & benefit activities
  • Support if required - Process the Expat Payroll
    • GAM IT
    • Invoice tracking
    • Starters / Leavers
    • Tax Payments
