Materials Planner - BOM Coordinator

Key Activities • Proactively manage the placing of demand for raw materials and components across a range of Advanced Technology programmes; in line with the Top Level Powerunit Plan (TLPUP) as required to deliver the programmes. • Process ECNs accurately and promptly, including LCA and SAP instructions. Ensuring the BOM is always accurate and up to date. • Provide transparency on the programme coverage of current orders and cut-off points for further orders. • Provide justification for order quantities, identifying commercial advantages with sound logic. • Working with Purchasing and Manufacturing to match capacity plans with programme requirements. • Control obsolescence; identifying cancellation messages and flagging to Purchasing. • Proactively manage demand for life limited or service parts. • Match demand to the availability of re-use where applicable. • Create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across different areas of the business; including both Operations and Engineering functions. • Resolve faults applicable to area in a timely manner. • Compete Month End Transactions.
