About the role: 

Casual Hospitality Assistants will provide assistance in the daily front of house operations of the Waterfront Pantry, including meeting room and dining room set ups/pack downs and general waiter service over all dining periods.

To be successful you'll have:

  • Basic hospitality skills or previous experience in hospitality settings.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear
    and accurate communications that are appropriate for their intended audience.
  • Proven capability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative work
    team, accommodate and thrive in diverse working styles, and work independently
    when necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, diplomacy, tact and
    discretion when dealing with different members of the public.
  • Provide intuitive customer service that meets the requirements of individual guests
    and resolve issues as they arise in a timely manner.
  • Ability to use initiative, seek resolutions to concerns to meet customer and business
    needs.
  • Coffee making experience is preferred.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Effectively work with other team members to deliver front of house and food and
    beverage services, maintain service standards and processes, ensuring directed tasks
    are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring guests are greeted professionally
    with a high standard of presentation, to ensure professional delivery of services.
  • Preparation and maintenance of function and meeting rooms, including set up and
    pack down of furniture.
  • Stocking of tea and coffee stations and ensuring communal catering areas are kept
    clean and tidy.
  • Preparation of Barista Coffee as needed Food and beverage service including.
    breakfast, lunch and dinner service and corporate event catering.
  • Conduct payment transactions.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative where appropriate.
  • Performing any additional tasks as instructed, consistent with the scope and
    classification of the position.
