As a Coordinator, Outbound Deakin Abroad, you will:

  • Respond promptly to student queries, through a variety of channels ensuring needs are met, and accurate and consistent advice is given in relation to learning abroad opportunities
  • Manage Outbound trimester exchange applications, through entire process from end to end, including student advising, eligibility assessments, correspondence with international partners and relevant internal stakeholders, following up with documentation needed and maintenance of global learning database
  • Develop and maintain Learning abroad resources and material, to ensure the learning abroad resources for staff and students are up to date, extensive and of a high standard
  • Plan and deliver student preparation and support activities to ensure students participating in learning Abroad programs are well set up fully leverage their overseas experience.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Learning Abroad communication, promotions and engagement including information sessions, pre-departures, on campus engagement events, virtual events etc
  • Contribute to a wide range of exciting learning abroad projects including, Global Citizenship Program, new Colombo Plan Program, Global Experience Fair

 

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Experience in an outbound environment with an attitude to convert enquiries to confirmed positions (application, enrolment and participation)
  • Experience in both sales and customer service provision or in or in Learning Abroad Programs including high-level interpersonal skills, the ability to master content knowledge across a broad range of course and policy areas, and the ability to respond to people confidently, positively, and with respect while maintaining confidentiality when required
  • Ability to deliver a duty of care towards students on learning abroad programs
