About the role:

As the Senior Consultant, Change and Improvement you are part of the university-wide organisational change function. In collaboration with the Principal Consultant and key stakeholders, this position will take an intentional on and proactive approach to delivering Deakin’s strategic goals through organisational change and design.

As a Senior Consultant, Change and Improvement you will:

  • Drive consistent change practices, diagnose challenges and opportunities, and identify improvements in partnership with senior leaders and relevant People and Culture teams.
  • Lead end-to-end organisational change programs and projects through facilitating appropriate research, governance, design, consultation (in alignment with university obligations) and implementation activities.
  • Deliver effective change, leveraging university-wide frameworks, policies, and governance practices.
  • Actively engage and enable collaboration across teams and with a diverse range of stakeholders to negotiate inclusive and accessible solutions and achieve strategic goals.
  • Develop, facilitate, and evaluate a range of ‘just in time’ capability modules to support capability. Drive a range of initiatives and learning solutions to enhance the resilience and well-being of our staff.
  • Develop guidebooks, toolkits, and self-service resources to support change.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience developing and implementing contemporary organisational change solutions, strategies and services to achieve Deakin’s objectives
  • Experience designing effective solutions to complex business and technical problems
  • Experience managing stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
