Deakin Law school is looking to appoint several developing or established scholars to ongoing academic positions, both teaching and research roles (Level A and B) and education-focused roles (Level A-D).
In the Deakin Law School you will be actively involved in teaching, including:

Delivering student-centred education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, across a variety of teaching modes (asynchronous, synchronous online, and face-to-face);
In a teaching and research role, you will also undertake scholarly research, publish in quality journals and secure research funding. By developing a body of work recognised for quality and impact you will build a national reputation.
In an education-focused role, you will contribute to the advancement of knowledge within your field, or in relation to legal pedagogy.
You will foster relationships with other academics and universities, the community, government and the legal profession, contributing to the University’s community engagement agenda and enhancing the scholarly reputation of the University.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful, you will have:

for teaching and research applicants, a developing research agenda (Level A), or an emerging (Level B), research reputation, underpinned by publications in quality journals and/or success in obtaining research funding;
- an ability to contribute to service and leadership within the Law School, commensurate with the role and level sought;

a commitment to fostering relationships with fellow scholars, the community, the profession, and government, and with other higher educational institutions.

To be eligible to apply for Level A and B, Teaching and Research roles and Level A to D Education-Focused roles, you must currently be a sessional academic at Deakin or have been previously engaged as a sessional academic at Deakin within the last two years of the advertising date.
