As a Senior Project Coordinator, Student Complaints and Conduct, you will be responsible for responding to and building institutional capacity in the management of current complex, sensitive, and high-risk student matters and to ensure compliance of Student Complaints and Student Conduct functions with recent and incoming (from 1 January 2027) legislative and regulatory requirements.
The role is responsible for conducting and facilitating impartial investigations, applying appropriate policies and procedures, effective record-keeping, preparing clear and evidence-based student complaints and grievance outcomes, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and supporting effective risk management.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience and management expertise; or equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training
- Demonstrated experience with case management of people with multiple and complex needs.
- High-level written and oral communication skills, including the ability to produce written information and effective record keeping and evidence management.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks to support consistent, fair, and evidence-based decision-making.
- High-level interpersonal influence and stakeholder management skills, including demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with management, staff, students and other stakeholders
Desirable:
- Graduate or postgraduate qualification or relevant experience in psychology, social work, behavioural science, criminology, law or other related disciplines.
- Knowledge and experience of the regulatory and governance requirements in higher education.
