The Opportunity
We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to support our Rehab Unit at Berkeley Vale Private Hospital! As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational clinical management with a focus on quality and patient safety, staff development and providing support to staff whilst ensuring a high standard of clinical practice is maintained. This position holds a key senior nursing leadership and management role which will see you work closely with the Director of Clinical Services to achieve organisational goals.
This role will see you:
- Be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources
- Be a positive mentor and provide clinical leadership and support to your team
- Working with and supporting other managers within the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomes
- Assist in shaping organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.
You’ll be joining a multi-disciplinary team, dedicated to ensuring our patients receive holistic individualised care.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in rehab nursing
- Effective management of rostering processes and allocation of duties of both clinical and non-clinical staff
- Post-graduate studies in an appropriate specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded
- Commitment to improvement and excellence in the delivery of outcomes
- WHS responsibility and leadership in risk minimisation
- Ongoing activity analysis
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources and experience in implementing sustainable change.
