About the Role

In this role, you will be taking on the leadership of a general ward, and you will be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human & material resources within the ward. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating all practices, processes and clinical services of the unit.

You will be supported by a passionate team of Executive Staff while reporting to and utilising the mentorship of the CEO/ Director of Clinical Services.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical leadership skillset in an acute hospital setting. You will bring a keen eye for strategic management of clinical staff along with the ability to effectively manage bed flow within the ward. Also key, will be the capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals.

This role will suit either an experienced clinical manager or a senior nurse looking to take the step into Management.

 

You will also bring;

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA
  • Several years’ experience in theatre
  • Previous experience in a management position desirable not essential
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Post graduate studies in an appropriate specialty area desirable

 

To be successful you will need to be available during to work a 7-day rotating roster across primarily evenings/nights, afternoons and weekends.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
