About the role:
Supports & fosters a culture within the organisation that embraces Quality/infection control and strives to continually improve patient and business outcomes in line with the identified Accreditation Program and other regulatory requirements.
Responsible for coordinating and implementing the hospital infection control program ensure high quality and safety in infection control. Acts as a resource for all clinical and non-clinical departments in all areas related to the prevention and management of infection control.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will:
Essential:
- Current relevant registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
(AHPRA)
- Bachelor of Health Science Nursing or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years clinical post graduate experience
- Effective leadership and managerial skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and improving performance
- Ability to make a positive impact upon the professional development of others
- Sound computer skills in Microsoft software programs
- Experience in facilitating change and adopting new concepts
Desirable
- An interest in Infection Control practices and willingness to learn
- Qualification in Infection Control Practices or working towards same
- Member of the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control or equivalent
- Nurse Immuniser Certificate / qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge / experience in NSQHSS National Standards, Clinical
- Indicators and other quality projects.
