Hollywood Private Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Administration ServicesManager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and support to the administration teams across switch and reception, bookings, medical admissions, ED admissions, acute admissions and planned admissions to procedural areas.
Responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the administrative team from a customer service, compliance and KPI perspective.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, your responsibilities will include day to day operational duties that includes managing and maintaining department KPIs such as labour, revenue and aged debtors.
Key Responsibilities
- Workforce planning and ensuring efficient use of resources to meet hospital objectives as well as labour usage targets
- Manage and coach the Administration Services leadership team, to achieve effective rostering, training, mentoring, performance review and recruitment
- Oversee daily administrative operations to ensure KPIs are met,
- Foster and grow a customer service culture and focus within the team
- Attending operational meetings and facilitating departmental meetings
- Ensure that private health funds checks are completed and patients informed in a timely and accurate manner
- Implement and improve administrative processes to enhance efficiency
- Manage feedback or complaints in a timely manner
- Investigate and manage workplace grievances and issues in an effective and timely manner
- Create a ‘can do’ culture and promote team building across the teams
Skills and Experience
You are a proactive leader with a passion for efficiency, excellence and exceptional communication skills. Your ability to lead, motivate, and support others to achieve results will see you succeed in this role.
You will also demonstrate:
Essential:
- Experience leading and coaching a large team
- Understanding of private health insurances and funding models
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- Experience using Meditech or similar patient administration software
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Working knowledge of state and federal government statutory requirements relating to health
- funds, privacy principles and legislations and patient information systems.
Desirable:
Tertiary qualification in health management or related discipline or proven record of success managing a range of complex services in a private health environment.
