The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Administration Officer to join our dedicated team at Ramsay Clinic Cairns. This permanent part-time role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a busy environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service to patients and their families.
As an Administration Officer, you will play a key role in providing personalised one-on-one support and assistance to one of our Consultant Psychiatrists, managing the service to our private clients and their families including enquiries, scheduling appointments and taking payments, whilst keeping a tidy and presentable office environment.
About You
The successful candidate will be a professional, positive, and self-motivated individual with excellent communication and engagement skills, capable of effectively engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will also bring:
- Relevant administrative qualifications (highly regarded).
- Proven experience in medical administration (essential).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with accuracy and speed in data entry.
- Experience using Bluechip & Medical Director or a similar patient data management system (desirable).
- Understanding of private health care setting and Medicare/DVA billing (desirable).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- A positive, professional and proactive attitude.
- Demonstrated problem solving and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Understanding of and commitment to principles of confidentiality.
Remuneration: A base hourly rate from $32.44 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Essential Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
