We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Theatre department at St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital in central Ipswich.

This is a Permanent Part-Time (48 hours per fortnight) role available for nurses with experience and training as Scrub Scouts or in Anaesthetics.

 

About Us

St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital is a 178-bed hospital and is revolutionising private health care in the Ipswich and West Moreton region. We’ve been growing and expanding our clinical capabilities, and have recently opened the region’s first private emergency department and a new intensive care unit which supports the Emergency Department. An additional 81 new private patient rooms and new operating theatres and sterilising department have also been added to our hospital. A new Women’s and Children’s unit provides quality local obstetric and paediatric services, supported by three new labour delivery suites. A new Renal Dialysis Unit was opened in November 2018, to further expand our clinical capabilities and enhance our position as a treatment centre of choice. The redevelopment of our hospital also included the redesign of our rehabilitation services, which is now a 39 bed rehabilitation/medical ward and a state of the art gymnasium; with soon to open, rehabilitation day program and outpatient services.

 

About the Role

St Andrew’s surgical unit specialises in orthopaedic, ENT, urology, gynaecology, oral, maxillo-facial and general surgery. In this role you will have the opportunity to work across the full scope of the surgical suite and be joining a team of clinical professionals with a passion for exceeding Ramsay’s high standard of care.

In this role you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager.

 

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a trained Nurse with experience as a Scrub Scout or in Anaesthetics.

You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The flexibility to handle a rotating roster with weekend and evening shifts will also be key for this role.

You will also bring;

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • 2 years’ specialty experience or more as a Nurse in a similar department or ward.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a supportive service.

Remuneration

On offer is a PRO RATA Full-Time Equivalent salary ranging from;

  • $65,000 -$90,000 + Superannuation per annum based on experience level.
