We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team at St Andrew’s Private Hospital in Ipswich.

This is a Full-Time Permanent Role.

 

About Us

St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital is a 178-bed hospital and is revolutionising private health care in the Ipswich and West Moreton region. We’ve been growing and expanding our clinical capabilities and have recently opened the region’s first private emergency department along with a new intensive care unit which supports the Emergency Department. An additional 81 new private patient rooms and new operating theatres and sterilising department have also been added to our hospital. A new Women’s and Children’s unit provides quality local obstetric and paediatric services, supported by three new labour delivery suites. A new Renal Dialysis Unit was opened in November 2018, to further expand our clinical capabilities and enhance our position as a treatment centre of choice. The redevelopment of our hospital also included the redesign of our rehabilitation services, which is now a 39-bed rehabilitation/medical ward and a state-of-the-art gymnasium; with soon to open, rehabilitation day program and outpatient services.

 

About the Role

Our Occupational Therapists work within a supportive team of professionals, passionate about providing the best quality care for patients. As an Occupational Therapist you are responsible for managing a clinical caseload of patients requiring rehabilitation services. This includes conducting clinical assessments, formulating intervention plans and implementing them along with managing the full documentation of each case. You will act as a mentor to the junior staff and support the team as required both operationally and with your knowledge.

This role reports to and provides support to the Allied Health and Rehabilitation Manager

 

About You

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who thrives in working within a multidisciplinary team and will be committed to upholding and promoting the Ramsay Way core values. This role will hold a senior position within the team and is well suited to a candidate with leadership experience or looking to step up into a leadership role.

You will bring a strong clinical skillset in rehabilitation with a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service.

You will also bring;

  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Proven (2 years min) experience as an Occupational Therapist, ideally in a hospital rehabilitation setting.
