We are seeking an experienced Chef to join the St Leonards Clinic team that is part of the Northside Group in a permanent part time capacity (48 hours per fortnight).
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for food preparation for patients, staff, cafeteria and functions, ensuring a high standard in quality of Hospital food production and cleanliness within the department in line with required Food Safety Plan, relevant HACCP standards and Hospital policy.
This is a fast-paced role that requires strong time management to effectively meet the needs of the hospital’s food services
This is s permanent part time position with the potential for full time hours in the future. This role reports to the Food Services Manager and works with a large varied team.
To succeed in this role you will be a qualified chef with a passion for culinary preparation and service. Ideally, you will bring experience within a clinical setting or in preparing food for medical patients. Being a strong team player with excellent communication skills will be key to this role.
The flexibility to handle shifts across a rotating roster including evenings and weekends will be required.
You will also bring;
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen as a chef
- Sound understanding of Food Safety guidelines and special dietary needs and allergens
