We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the Rehabilitation Unit at St Andrew’s Private Hospital in Ipswich.
There are multiple permanent part-time roles (48 hours per fortnight) available with a future opportunity for strong performers to pursue leadership roles within the ward.
St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital is a 178-bed hospital and is revolutionising private health care in the Ipswich and West Moreton region. We’ve been growing and expanding our clinical capabilities and have recently opened the region’s first private emergency department along with a new intensive care unit which supports the Emergency Department. An additional 81 new private patient rooms and new operating theatres and sterilising department have also been added to our hospital. A new Women’s and Children’s unit provides quality local obstetric and paediatric services, supported by three new labour delivery suites. A new Renal Dialysis Unit was opened in November 2018, to further expand our clinical capabilities and enhance our position as a treatment centre of choice. The redevelopment of our hospital also included the redesign of our rehabilitation services, which is now a 39-bed rehabilitation/medical ward and a state-of-the-art gymnasium; a new rehabilitation day program and outpatient services.
About the Role
St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital Rehabilitation Unit provides excellence in multidisciplinary, patient focused care through the use of a holistic approach. The team consists of a diverse range of skillsets including Rehabilitation Nurses, Physicians, Social Workers, Occupational and Speech Therapists and Physiotherapists to ensure effective continuity of medical care during patient admission and discharge.
As a member of our clinical team you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients. You will be joining a team of passionate professionals driven to exceed Ramsay’s high standard of client care.
In this role you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager of the Rehabilitation Unit.
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a trained Nurse with experience in Medical Rehabilitation. You will bring a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will also demonstrate exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
We are always looking for potential leaders amongst our nursing team so this role will suit an individual interested in developing into a leadership role down the track.
The flexibility to work a rotating roster with on call components along with weekend and evening shifts will be key for this role.
You will also bring;
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- 2 years’ experience or more as a Nurse in a Rehabilitation ward or clinic.

On offer is a PRO RATA Full-Time Equivalent salary ranging from;
- $69,000 -$88,000 + Superannuation per annum based on experience level for Registered Nurses.
