We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology department on a part time basis (64 hours per fortnight), at Sunshine Coast University hospital.
About the Role
Sunshine Coast University Private hospital includes 6 state-of-the-art operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an 11 bed intensive care unit/coronary care unit and now offers Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI).
A new “Heart Team” has delivered new procedures made up of interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, vascular surgeons, an anaesthesiologist, geriatrician, TAVI coordinator and radiologists and this is your opportunity to join our diverse team of medical professionals and work across the full scope of our unit’s services
You will be supporting support of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurses and Shift Leaders in the planning, evaluating and delivery of patient’s care in the unit and will work across a rotating roster of shifts including weekend and evening shifts, so flexibility is essential.
You will bring a strong clinical skillset as a Registered Nurse with qualifications, or extensive experience in cardiology care. You will have a passion for providing quality care and be able to effectively work with a professional team to maintain Ramsay’s standard of care. To be successful you will require have exceptional communication abilities.
You will also bring;
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an Cardiology Unit or Ward within a hospital or acute care environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and maintain good working relations with others
