We are seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses to join our Cardiac Catheter Lab at Cairns Private Hospital. 

There are positions available on a Casual and Part-time (16 hours per fortnight) basis, for nurses with experience and training in an acute hospital setting.

 

About the Role

Cairns Private Hospital Cardiac Catheter Laboratory is expanding! Catering for private and public patients and situated between the resident cardiologist's clinic and the intensive/coronary care unit, the cardiac catheter laboratory provides the community with a valuable, lifesaving diagnostic service.

As a Registered Nurse, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered.  You will support patients across both the Cardiac Catheter Lab and Cardiac Recovery Area.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and work with a diverse team driven to exceed Ramsay’s high standard of care.

 

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring strong clinical skillset in an acute care setting with specialty CCL experience. You will be have exceptional customer service and time management skills with a passion for quality patient outcomes. You will be dedicated team player while comfortable working autonomously if necessary.

The flexibility to handle a rotating roster with evening and weekend shifts will be crucial to this role.

You will need to have the following:

  • Relevant registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse.
  • Proven experience in a similar ward or unit (CCL/Cardio).
  • Minimum of (3) three years’ experience post AHPRA registration in an acute hospital environment within a similar ward or unit (CCU/CCL)
  • Ability to scout/scrub for Coronary Angiograms/ Angioplasties/PPM.

Remuneration

  • $33-$45 per hour based on service hours.
