An ideal opportunity has become available for an Accredited Registrar who is currently involved in the AFRM training program to join the highly regarded John Flynn Private Hospital, located in Tugun, on the Southern end of the Gold Coast.
This accredited training position is available to commence Term 1 (Commencing Feb 3rd) and Term 2 (Commencing August 3rd) in 2020, and is fully accredited for training with the AFRM.

The rehabilitation services at John Flynn are rapidly expanding offering 59 beds, and a diverse range of day hospital programs. The service is supported by 3 consultants in rehabilitation (FAFRM), all of whom have a keen interest in teaching.
The Registrar’s role will involve assessment and day to day management of adults requiring rehabilitation in the inpatient hospital. The case mix is that of a generalist rehabilitation unit comprising mostly elderly patients with orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, conditions or general de-conditioning following complex medical or surgical illness.
The successful appointee will participate in the weekly formal educational program provided for rehabilitation registrars at the hospital and have access to the QLD Registrar Training program, the Bi National training program, the AFRM Rural Sig Journal Club teleconference and the John Flynn Allied Health teaching program and Journal Club.
Medical registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is an essential requirement. The position is funded by the STP program and it is an essential requirement that appointees are on the AFRM training Program.
