We are seeking experienced clinical professional to take on the key leadership role of our Cardiac Ward at Cairns Private Hospital.

This is a Permanent Full-Time role.

 

About the Role

We are now seeking to appoint a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to a key leadership role within the management team of our Cardiac Medical ward.

You will be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human & material resources within the ward. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and clinical services of the unit. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for ensuring a strong focus on clinical professional development both within the department and the hospital more widely by playing a key role in the provision of clinical facilitation to new staff in a dynamic and rapidly expanding hospital environment.

You will lead and have the support of a skilled team of Clinical Nurses and ANUM’s while reporting to and utilising the mentorship of an experienced Director of Clinical Services.

 

About You

The successful individual will be passionate about their work, have extensive experience working in acute cardiac/critical care services and bring experience in a clinical leadership capacity.

You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team. You will be a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow while bringing a high level of client care and service.

You will also bring;

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Proven knowledge as a senior Nurse or Manager in a similar department.
  • Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management.

 

Remuneration

On offer is a Full-Time salary ranging from;

  • $108,000 -$118,000 + Superannuation per annum based on experience level.
