We are seeking Permanent Part time Theatre Orderlys to join our Perioperative team at Pindara Private Hospital in the Gold Coast.
About the Role
As the Theatre Orderly you will be supporting the safe transfer of patients to and from surgery. You will also be transporting, setting up, maintaining and disposing surgical/patient transport equipment for the Operating Theatre. This will also include the disposal of wastes and linens in accordance with Infection Control Guidelines and ensuring cleaning tasks are completed to a very high standard.
This role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager and works with a professional team of other clinical support staff, nurses and medical officers.
This role will suit an individual with experience in patient manual handling along with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively both with internal and external clients will be key to your success in this role along with the capacity to work effectively as part of a professional team.
The ability to work across a rotating roster and participate in the on-call roster including weekend and evening shifts will be key to this role.
You will also bring;
- Certificate III in Operating Theatre Technician Practice or equivalent (Health Services / Aged Care).
- Recent relevant experience gained within the health industry, ideally within acute care/ perioperative hospital setting will be highly regarded for this role.
- Excellent time management skills.
Most importantly, you will bring a client-first attitude with a desire to assist our patients in obtaining the best possible outcomes for their health.
