Interested in your next adventure? We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetic nursing professional to take on an exciting clinical management role in our Perioperative Services Department at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital.

We are looking for an individual with a passion for quality patient care and invite local and interstate applicants to take on this rewarding opportunity to join a highly respected large private hospital, minutes from the beach.

The Nurse Unit Manager (Anaesthetic) role is a Permanent Full-Time position available for experienced senior nurses.

 

About the Role

The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the department to ensure improved patient outcomes. The role requires working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements. The position is accountable for the efficient and effective management of staff within the department.

This fast paced and highly rewarding role reports to the Director of Clinical Services through the ADCS - Perioperative Services.

 

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring a strong anaesthetic clinical skillset in a hospital setting either as a Clinical/Nursing Manager in a similar department or as a senior nurse wanting to step into a management role. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team. You will be a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow while bringing a passion for a high level of client care and service.

You will also bring;

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a perioperative anaesthetic nursing environment.
  • Proven knowledge as a senior Nurse or Manager in a similar department or ward. (Anaesthetics/PACU)
  • Any management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management.

 

Remuneration

On offer is a yearly salary ranging from;

  • $110,000 -$118,000 + Superannuation per annum based on experience level.

 

About the Organisation

Owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care, Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital opened on 4 November 2013, offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and day services across a wide range of specialties. We are collocated with the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, on the Kawana Health Campus.

Facilities include 6 state-of-the-art operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an 11 bed intensive care unit/coronary care unit and a 9 chair day therapy unit. Medical consulting suites are located onsite together with comprehensive pathology and radiology services. Other onsite facilities include a retail pharmacy and coffee shop.
