An opportunity currently exists for a Volunteer Coordinator to join the team at John Flynn Private Hospital.
The successful applicant will be required to work on a part-time basis, with a minimum of 36 hours per fortnight.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for coordinating the day to day activities of the volunteers ensuring an effective service is provided for patients and the public. This role will be responsible for ensuring the volunteers are engaged in meaningful and rewarding tasks according to their preferences and the needs of the business.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate a commitment to customer service. You will also be able to demonstrate the following criteria:
- Experience working in a similar position within a hospital environment
- Experience working with volunteers and an understanding of the ethics of volunteerism
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a professional telephone manner
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Able to work in a team environment and independently as required
Prior to commencement you will be required to provide a National Police Check at your own expense.
