We have an exciting career opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly organised and professional Registered Nurse to join our Operating Suite Team. This is a Permanent Full Time opportunity (Monday to Friday)


About the Role

The Anaesthetic NUM is responsible for the provision of efficient and effective anaesthetic services whilst ensuring a harmonious working relationship with both nursing and medical teams to provide high-quality care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Reporting to the Perioperative Clinical Services Manager, your role will encompass the day to day management of the anaesthetic department including rostering, management of resources and staffing. You will also provide mentorship and support in the achievement of excellence in nursing practice.

The Anaesthetic NUM will promote a culture that embraces best practice and identifies, evaluates and incorporates emerging trends in the practice of anaesthetic nursing.


About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a Registered Nurse with a passion for client care and delivering high standards of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will bring a capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and act as a passionate mentor to your team.


You will also bring:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Registered Nurse with 5 years relevant experience in the specialty area
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven management skills
  • Ability to ensure excellence in customer service
  • Demonstrated risk management and WH&S
  • Ability to review and implement continuous improvement programs
  • Ideally you will hold or are working towards post graduate qualifications in anaesthetics
