We are seeking an experienced medical administrator to take on a Patient Administration Manager role at Shepparton Private Hospital.
This is a permanent Full-Time position that will see you leading our busy Health Information and Front Office teams.
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for the management of patient administration services at the hospital. This includes leading the reception, scheduling, clerical and Health Information Services teams to ensure the appropriate management of patient records and that data is collected, collated and managed in line with site, state and federal legislative requirements.
You will be pivotal in providing leadership and guidance to the diverse 12-member multi-disciplined team including clinical coders, medical records clerks and administrative professionals.
This role directly reports to the Finance Manager of the hospital.
This role will suit either an experienced Health Information Manager or a skilled administrative leader, ideally with experience in hospital or medical operations, as training can be provided in the Health Information space for the right applicant. A highly-developed leadership skillset with the capacity to organise and inspire your staff will also be key.
You will also demonstrate;
- Proven senior experience within Medical Administration is ideal for this role with Coding/Medical Records experience being desirable, though not essential.
- Practical knowledge and experience in current disease classification along with private hospital experience will be well-regarded.
- Membership with Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) and a qualification in Health Information Management will be highly regarded, though not essential.
