About the Role
We are seeking an experienced nurse with the suitable skills and competence to provide leadership and support to our Psychiatric Unit team.
Permanent Part-time opportunity (minimum 64 hours per fortnight)
As the Clinical Nurse you will be required to act as a professional resource across the scope of the unit in all facets of caring for patients whilst problem solving within the clinical setting. This role will involve day-to-day problem solving within the clinical setting and fostering a positive, friendly and supportive culture within our dedicated and professional nursing team. This is a direct leadership role and you will be mentoring and supporting the front-line team members within their roles.
In this role you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the department is safe, effective, and follows best practice.
To succeed in this role, you will be the ability to coordinate patient care as well as be an effective shift leader. You will have highly developed clinical skills and with the ability to communicate effectively and provide clear direction.
You will also demonstrate;
- Minimum of three (3) years post graduate experience in Mental Health
- Ability to act as a positive role model with excellent communication skills
- Previous experience as an in-charge Nurse will be highly regarded
- Demonstrate excellent time management, clinical problem solving and organisational skills
