An exciting opportunity has become available for a Social Worker to work on a Permanent Part Time basis a minimum of 12 hours per fortnight at Cairns Private Hospital.
About the Role
Ramsay Health Plus is a multi-disciplinary team that provides care to both in-patients and outpatients. This team consists of highly competent allied health professionals including physiotherapists, occupational therapist, psychologists, social workers, dietitians and speech pathologists.
In this role you will provide high quality, direct social work services to both inpatients and outpatients of the hospital. This will include providing personal counselling, discharge planning, community follow-up and working with families and support persons with the patients adjustment period.

To be successful you will be a compassionate professional with excellent communication skills. You will demonstrate good professional reasoning and sound judgment in decision making considering implications and long-term patient impact. You will strive to deliver quality patient care and exceed our customer expectations.
You will also demonstrate;
- Degree in Social Work and be an accredited Social Worker
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Be an accredited member of AASW (desirable)
- Proven ability to work independently within a diverse clinical team
- Demonstrated excellent organisational skills and effective communication skills

Remuneration
On offer is a PRO RATA Full-Time Equivalent salary ranging from;
- $78,124 - $106,532 + Superannuation per annum based on experience level
