About the Role
The Cairns Clinic currently has an opportunity for a General Practitioner interested in joining our team to provide clinical management and care for our patients.
This role is Part-Time position offering 6 hours a week; approximately 3 hours on Monday’s and Wednesday’s, however flexibility with hours is possible.
The Medical Officer is responsible for:
- Review of inpatients as required and order investigations and reviews as deemed necessary
- Undergo comprehensive patient admission assessments in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive record of inpatient notes on patients conditions and plan of care
- Liaise and consult with Psychiatrists on patient’s condition and care plans
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following selection criteria:
- Specialist Registration with AHPRA as a General Practitioner
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a GP
- Ability to obtain a Medicare provider number
An attractive remuneration package is on offer including an hourly rate of $150.00 per hour, plus super, and retain 50% of all Medicare billings; as well as pro-rata leave entitlements.
