Theatre Setup Attendant/Orderly
Mitcham Private Hospital is seeking an proactive Theatre Setup Attendant to join our Theatre team.
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for assembling, disassembling and managing theatre case set-ups in accordance with operating lists. This will involve working closely with the Sterilisation and Theatre teams to ensure they have the equipment necessary for procedures. You will also support our patients in transporting to and from theatre.
This position is a key element of the surgical process and the ability to quickly and efficiently manage your caseload will directly affect the care of patients.
In this role you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager.
To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service who enjoys being part of a busy ward. You will bring experience in a similar role within a perioperative team. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable working in a diverse team of nurses, doctors and clinical support staff.
You will also bring:
- 1 years minimum experience within a theatre attendant/orderly position.
- Any qualifications in Health Services Assistance will be highly regarded though not essential.
The flexibility to work a rotating roster will be key to this role.
