Theatre Setup Nurse/Prosthesis Coordinator

Hours Negotiable (32-76 hours per fortnight available)

We are seeking experienced perioperative perioperative nurse to join our team at The Avenue Private Hospital in Windsor, VIC.

About the Role

We are regarded as one of Australia’s premier orthopaedic hospitals specialising in joint replacement surgery, spinal surgery and reconstructive surgical management of sporting injuries. In this role you will be joining our perioperative team supporting procedures across 11 operating theatres.

Your primary duty will be the daily preparation of the operating theatres and equipment in accordance with the operating lists. This will involve working closely with the Sterilisation and Theatre teams to ensure they have everything required for procedures. You will also work closely with the supply team in carrying out the stocktake, ordering and reconciliation of prosthetics for procedures.

This position is a key element of the surgical process and the ability to quickly and efficiently manage your caseload will directly affect the care of patients.

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a perioperative hospital setting with a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. While any supply or theatre setup experience will be highly regarded, full training will be provided.

You will also demonstrate;

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
  • Enrolled Nurses must be certified to administer medication and perform IV’s.
  • Minimum 2 years in an acute perioperative environment as a Scrub Scout, Anaesthetic or PACU Nurse is essential to this role.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing specialties will be highly regarded, though not essential.

Remuneration

On offer is an hourly rate of $ 29.03 - $ 44.15 + superannuation based on experience/registration level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. [FTE $57 381.06 - $87 256.01]
