Perioperative Nurses - Novice Program


Minimum of 60 hours per fortnight - Part-Time

Peninsula Private Hospital is running its Novice Perioperative Program once again. This program is open to nursing staff who are interested in a career in theatre. This is a rare opportunity to grow your skillset and establish your competence in a highly desired and rewarding field.

The program will include a combination of theory and clinical experience across all specialties (scrub, scout, anaesthetics and recovery). The program will be supported by supernumerary time, structured rotations and the support and overview of an educator.


Essential Selection Criteria

  • Registered or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
  • Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience
  • Ability to work a range of shifts including day and evening and weekends
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly organised with workloads
  • An understanding of OHS principles
  • An understanding of conflict resolution skills


Remuneration: $62 516.09 - $87 256.01 + Superannuation per annum PRO RATA (based on years of experience - see Ramsay Health Care Nurses EBA VIC for further information)
