An exciting opportunity exists to join a collaborative team in the Intensive Care Unit at Warringal Private Hospital. This is a role that requires strong clinical leadership and would suit someone who thrives in high pressured situations.
About the Role
The ICU Liaison Nurse provides consultation, clinical support and emergency response to support the management of acutely ill patients outside of Intensive Care Unit. You will support the care of patients on the ward who have been recently discharged from or awaiting transfer to ICU, or who require a Medical Emergency Response. This will also include supporting the process of the escalation of care to reduce the risk of harm to patients from deterioration.
To succeed in this role, you will bring advanced negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills to facilitate teamwork and to ensure optimal patient care. You will have a passion for coaching and mentoring other caregivers, to enable them to advance their clinical practice, problem solving and decision-making skills. You also must demonstrate a high level of knowledge and skills in facilitating learning in the clinical environment to promote the goals of safe patient care.
You will bring:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Completed Postgraduate Certificate in Critical Care.
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership position.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in an intensive care environment with specific evidence of working at a level of advanced practice level.
On offer is an hourly rate of $50 per hour + Superannuation.
