Assistants in Nursing
We are seeking Assistants in Nursing to join our team at Southern Highlands Private Hospital on a Casual basis.
This is a Casual role, perfect for Student Nurses who have completed a minimum of their first year of studies, or an experienced Assistant in Nursing with a Certificate 3 in Acute Care.
About the Role
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will work as a member of the clinical team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will provide high quality care to all patients and clients who access health services, whilst also providing a high level of clinical and professional support to other members of the multi-disciplinary patient care team. You will support all facets of the care process including clerical duties.
In this role you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager.
To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective team player who brings excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage your time effectively to meet your responsibilities. The flexibility to handle a varied roster will also be essential.
You will also hold;
- Certificate III in Acute Care/Health Service Assistance or currently studying Nursing qualifications will be ideal for this role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a High standard of customer service
- Ability to work in a team
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $23 -$26 based on experience and qualifications + casual loading + superannuation.
Southern Highlands Private Hospital provides 74 acute medical and surgical beds, as well as an extensive range of onsite rehabilitation and palliative care services for the community and beyond to the regional and rural areas. The Hospital has 4 Operating Theatres, a Procedure Room, a Day Surgery Unit and a Day Oncology Unit. The hospital is located in Bowral, adjacent to the public hospital.
