About the Role

We are seeking experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses – Scrub Scout to join our Theatre at John Flynn Private Hospital on the Gold Coast. Within the perioperative department at John Flynn Private Hospital, there are 12 operating theatres in main theatres, 1 operating theatre and 2 endoscopy suits in day surgery and 2 cardiac catheter labs.  John Flynn Private Hospital does a wide range of surgical specialties - these includes Cardiac, Upper and lower Orthopaedic, Robotic, Gynaecology & Obstetric, General , Plastics , and ENT. We have multiple permanent positions available with hours negotiable for the right candidate.

As a Registered Nurse you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered within the ward. You will be responsible for will assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating the care delivery needs of each patient’s individual needs. Our team prides itself on exceeding Ramsay’s high standard of care with a professional and positive attitude by creating a friendly, caring and comfortable environment for its patients.

You will work across morning and afternoon shifts across a 7-day roster and be available to participate in the on call roster.

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset with specialty experience as a Scrub Scout and acute care environments. You will be a positive and effective team player who brings excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage your time effectively to meet your responsibilities.

You will also demonstrate;

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse,
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in an acute surgical team as a Scrub Scout,
  • Scrub scout experience in the above mentioned specialties will be highly regards
  • Orthopaedic scrub scout experience will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to nursing practice in the workplace,
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work as a cohesive team member,
  • Any relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded.

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate range of:

Registered Nurses $37.04 - $47.76 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife gr2-gr8) [FTE $73,193.41 - $94,380.08]

Enrolled Nurses  $32.23- $35.34+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD EEN gr1-gr6) [FTE $63,691.22 - $69,824.13]
