Social Worker  

Two exciting positions have become available for Social Workers to join our team on a Permanent Part-Time (2 days per week) and Casual basis at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital.


About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for experienced social workers to join the team in providing a high quality social work service to patients in Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital with an emphasis on discharge planning.

Experience working with adult and elderly clients, well-developed clinical skills and a proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team is required.  

This challenging and rewarding position offers flexibility in a supportive work environment.


About You

The successful applicant must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a strong commitment to professional development.

Hospital based experience and a working knowledge of the Aged Care system will be highly regarded.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social workers (AASW) is essential
  • Previous hospital based experience with the Aged Care System will be highly regarded
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Commitment to Professional Development
