Registered Nurse – Cardiac Surgical Unit 

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team at John Flynn Private Hospital on the Gold Coast 

Multiple opportunities available 

The successful candidates will be skilled clinicians with a passion for quality patient care, and we invite local and interstate applicants to take up the opportunity to join a highly respected private hospital on Queensland’s vibrant Gold Coast. In the role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating care delivery needs to ensure a high level of quality patient care, in line in with The Ramsay Way values.

John Flynn Private Hospital is a 334 bed, acute care hospital located at Tugun, which is on the southern end of the Gold Coast, within 5 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport. The hospital is an integral part of our community, providing services to the population of the Gold Coast and the Tweed Coast extending into the NSW Northern Rivers area.

About the Role

The largest private cardiac centre on the Gold Coast, John Flynn Private Hospital offers the latest in cardiac technology, highly skilled and internationally trained Cardiologists, Interventionalists and Cardiac Electrophysiologists, supported by specially skilled nursing staff combined with first-class accommodation, that together, ensure the provision of the very best cardiac care.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset and have a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

You will also demonstrate:

  • Relevant Nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum two (2) years’ current experience in a surgical cardiac environment
  • Postgraduate certification in a related area is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice
  • Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration
