The Ramsay Pharmacy Group (RPG) is part of Ramsay Health Care (RHC), Australia’s largest private hospital operator providing specialised medication and pharmacy services to community patients throughout Australia.

 

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Ramsay Pharmacy Rotational Pharmacist with excellent professional service skills to be part of our friendly, Pharmacy team covering both the Hospital and Community Pharmacies across North Eastern Victoria. This is a permanent full time position with a rotating roster which may include some weekend shifts. 

 

You will be given the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide exceptional clinical advice, customer services, quality use of medicines and assist with continuing education of health professionals.  You will provide valuable input and assist in the management, expansion and growth of the pharmacy services into the community with the continued support and direction from Pharmacy Management.

  • Pharmacy Practice Team: Education on legislation updates, new and old medications, PBS changes, COVID updates, vaccinations, CPD, QCCP and hospital accreditation.
  • Procurement Team: Source and supply all medications, including SAS and out of stock products, while securing it at a competitive price.
  • Professional Services Team: On site to assist the delivery of all professional services including; Vaccinations, Meds Check, Diabetes Checks, DAA claiming, etc.
  • IT Team: Execute all software system updates including; dispensing software (FRED Plus/Merlin), electronic DD Books (Modeus/HS8), Medicare and PBS updates, plus extensive training on how to use each program.
  • HR and Recruitment Teams: Recruiting, retention and staff management.
  • Finance and Payroll Teams: Ensuring all staff and bills are paid on time without needing to worry about it. (We’re Pharmacists, not accountants!)
  • Operations Team: Coordinating day to day support from all teams mentioned above so you can focus on maximising patient outcome and reaching your true potential as a Pharmacist.

 

The Position

 

The successful applicant will have responsibilities for:

  • Upholding and delivering the highest level of customer service at all times
  • Delivering valuable pharmacy services to the community
  • Accurate and efficient dispensing of prescriptions
  • Supervise Pharmacy Assistants, Interns and Student Pharmacists
  • Inventory management and order processing
  • Support Pharmacy Management
  • Be empowered to pursue new pharmacy services.

The Person

 

This position requires a person with:

  • A Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Current registration with APHRA
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Experience with dispensary and inventory control systems
  • Experience with working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Good working knowledge of the PBS system
  • An Injection Certificate would be beneficial

This position reports to the Pharmacy Area Manager who will coordinate the required on-the-job training and ongoing support.
