About the Role
As a Menu Assistant you will be responsible for collecting, collating and checking to ensure all patient menus are completed correctly. In addition to this, you will participate and assist with general kitchen duties as required and maintain a safe working environment for all patients and staff. All duties will be performed in line with the values of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Participating and contributing to the development of your performance and skills, as well as the performance and skills of your team members, you will report to and perform duties as directed by the Catering Manager.
To succeed in this role you will be self-motivated and work efficiently within a team environment, and independently when required. Your outstanding time management and organisational skills, and ability to perform under pressure will assist in being able to prioritise your workload effectively. Further to this, you will have sound written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
You will also bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a customer focused role
- Sound computer skills, Outlook, Word
- Ability to utilise Chefmax meal ordering system preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety Regulations preferred
- Knowledge of material safety data sheets, their use and importance
- Commitment to exceed customer satisfaction
Successful candidates must be able to work across a 14 day roster, shifts will include early mornings and evening shifts.
