About the Role
Ramsay Clinic Northside are seeking a full time Research Administration Officer who will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of clinical trial activities within the Neuro-stimulation team at Northside.
Reporting to the CEO, the successful applicant will assist with the establishment and ongoing management of new clinical research programs and liaise with both university and hospital staff to ensure successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- The implementation of clinical trial protocols at Ramsay Clinic Northside, including the recruitment of patients, coordinating patient visits and data collection in accordance with clinical trials protocols and following up patients as needed
- Coordinating the collection of patient reported outcome measures within the hospital
- Assist with the start-up processes for clinical trials, ensuring that the site is able to be activated as quickly as possible
- Develop, implement and maintain systems to support the operational activities of the clinical trials unit as required by the Research Project Lead and CEO
Essential Criteria
- Registered or Enrolled Nurse currently authorised to practice by Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency or equivalent allied health or science qualification.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical trials methodology and knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) requirements.
- Demonstrable commitment to high professional standards in all aspects of work.
- Demonstrated leadership ability working in a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Ability to develop rapport with patients and their families in stressful situations.
- Computer software, informatics, data collection and/or media skills.
- Demonstrable excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Understanding of importance of confidentiality and data integrity.
Desirable
- Substantial working experience in a research or clinical environment, including experience in the conduct and coordination of clinical trials.
- Understanding of ethics and governance in clinical research
