Haematology, Oncology and Palliative Care

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our 32 bed Haematology / Oncology and Palliative care ward at Greenslopes Private Hospital.

There are opportunities available on a permanent full-time, part-time or casual basis for nurses with experience in a cancer care environment.

About the Role

Our ward is 32 bed unit specialising in caring for Haematology/ Oncology and Palliative patients. 

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our supportive team to continue to provide our patients with dedicated and specialised care in Haematology, Oncology and Palliative care.  In this role you will be responsible for providing a high level of clinical care and exceptional customer service to patients and their families. This will involve assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating the care delivery needs of each patient’s individual needs

This role will see you reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager but also have guidance and support from Clinical Nurses, Education Team and Shift Leaders.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset and a passion to learn new skills and develop your clinical knowledge.  You will have exceptional communication and organisation skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  The flexibility to handle a rotating roster and a strong team focus will also be key for this role.

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant post graduate experience in an acute hospital environment
  • Demonstrates excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patient
  • Competent in chemotherapy administration is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in oncology, palliative care haematology is desirable

This role requires an individual who has a caring and compassionate nature which enables them to provide the needed support to cancer patients and their carers.

 

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $37.04 - $47.76 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife gr2-gr8) [FTE $73 193.41 - $94 380.08].
